Filipino Kainan

A family kitchen. Filipino food, done Cirilo's way.

Our Story

A Story Told
Through Food

Cirilo Ragasa was born in the Philippines and moved to the UK in 1985. After over 20 years as a Chef at establishments such as, The Selfridge Hotel, Trader Vics in Park Lane, RS Hispaniola and the London Clinic, he decided to open "Cirilo's" on Cable Street in 2008, and has been running it alongside his wife ever since.

The food isn't an attempt to replicate what you'd find in the Philippines (as over 7000 islands lend dishes to having regional nuances). It's Cirilo's take on the Filipino dishes he grew up with, familiar flavours cooked the way he cooks them, with a close eye on nutrition and small adaptions to modernise traditional recipes to western palates.

This is a family restaurant, in the truest sense. One kitchen, one chef, one vision.
